Green Café nature walk with IVN: Genneper Park edition

Two urban districts (Stratum & Gestel) in the south of Eindhoven are separated by a green area that penetrates far into the city centre. This area, Genneper Parken, is originally an agricultural stream valley landscape, formed by the Dommel and Tongelreep stream. We will take a walk through this beautiful piece of urban nature and watch and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

It will not only be a nature walk, as cultural-historical facts will also be shared, along with ecological management of the farmlands by the Genneper Hoeve. And we will also learn about the Dommel and Tongelreep streams and water management in the area. The versatility to discuss a lot of nature and nature management topics together makes the Genneper Park a very interesting hiking area and a beautiful piece of urban nature.

Please get some water & snacks for yourself as we will finish around lunch-time, if the weather is nice we can enjoy it together. Based on the weather conditions, please wear suitable shoes. There are parking spaces at the meeting point, though we would recommend using the bike or public transport (Bayeuxlaan bus-stop) for sustainability reasons. In case of difficulties finding the place please call Zubin at 06-83215988.

A maximum of 25 participants can join this walk. Registration is therefore necessary (click the button below).
