Terugblik ledenactiviteit Wintervertellingen

Met zeven leden liepen we door het park Frankendael. Februari is het hartje winter, maar echt koud was het niet. Mooi rustig weer om verschillende planten en dieren te zoeken, om er vervolgens een mooi verhaal of gedicht bij voor te lezen.

Van het sneeuwklokje tot de narcis, van de egel tot de mol, van de reiger tot het winterkoninkje: over alles valt wel iets in de (kinder)literatuur te vinden.

Bijzonder was de wintereik die zijn blad niet verliest en ook de narcis die zo vroeg al in het seizoen zichzelf in de spiegeling van het water stond te bewonderen. De waarnemingen van dichters en schrijvers, bleken opnieuw een krachtige inspiratiebron.

We willen graag meer van deze wandeling geven en alle tips en inspiratie zijn welkom. Ken je een mooi boek, bundel of website met mooie verhalend of poëzie, laat het ons weten. Of misschien kun je zelf mooi schrijven. Uiteraard is de voorwaarde dat het over natuur gaat.

Gedicht

Onze eigen Azadeh Baghery, van het communicatieteam, kan ook mooie gedichten schrijven over natuur. Zie hieronder haar gedicht “let us kiss the ground”

Let us kiss the ground

To make its wounds heal again

Those wounds that were caused by us

When we became its enemy without knowing it

To bring back the life within it

The life that helps store water and protects us against drought and floods

The life that helps sequester carbon and keeps the earth cool enough

The life that feeds our plants so that others can be fed

Let us kiss the ground

So that we keep getting visits from bees

So that it can keep feeding us

Before men as well become each other’s enemies

Let us kiss the ground

Instead of ignoring it

Instead of abandoning it

Instead of giving up on it

The ground that is the essence of all life on earth

The ground that takes care of us;

Of Insects

Of Plants

Of Bees

Of Birds

Of Animals

Of Humans

And all that there is

Let us kiss the ground

So that it can flourish

And become whole again

Let us kiss

the ground
