Mushroom tour (EN) Bennekom

Dear (future) mushroom lovers!

After a huge success of the first Jong-IVN mushroom walk, there will be two more mushroom walks on the 14th and 30th of November, organized by IVN Gelderland, VSA Wageningen and VSA Nijmegen.

The first tour will be given by Lisa near Wageningen (Bennekom) on the 14th of November from 13:00h-15:30h. Scroll down to register.
The other tour will be given by Roos in Nijmegen on the 30th of November from 11:00h-13:00h. You can register on this page. 

JongIVN

This JongIVN activity is specially organized for young people (16–30) with an interest in nature. People of all experience levels are welcome, from total beginners to mushroom literate. If you are interested, please register on this page.

Please note that there is a limit of 15 people. So, gather your mycelia web of friends and explore the decomposing organisms that flourish in Dutch autumn.

About your guide

Our mushroom guides are excited to go into the forest and discover the wonderful world of mushrooms with all of you! A short introduction:

Lisa will take you on a walk in Bennekom and share her passion for fungi with you. She is a plant scientist with an enormous mushroom obsession. She loves to share what makes fungi so special, and makes you look at the forest like you have never looked at it before.

What to bring?

Lisa is looking forward to meeting you all and has requested we pass on this list of things to bring.

• Possibly a raincoat (depending on the forecast) and be sure to dress warm! We stand still a lot to look at mushrooms so it will not be a super active hike.
• Comfortable walking shoes
• A small notebook with a pen for taking notes or drawing
• Hot drink (coffee/tea) + your own cup/mug

Vegan snacks are provided by the Vegan Student Association (VSA Wageningen). We hope to see you on Friday, 14th of November!
